Besides having incredibly picturesque landscapes, Oahu has some stunning "off-road" terrain that just begs to be explored by adventure lovers. If that sounds like you, then Kualoa Ranch has the activity for you - ATV Riding.
Picture yourself on your own ATV - navigating rugged mountain paths, winding through jungle landscapes, and negotiating the hidden trails that dart in and out of the lush valleys. You can do all of this and more while commanding your own all-terrain vehicle. There's a new, breathtaking view around every corner.
No experience is necessary - the ATV's are easy to operate, and meet all safety standards. Plus, your guide will help you out with getting started and provide all safety equipment. All you really need to bring is your sense of adventure. Riders must be 16 years old.
During the one-hour ATV tour expert guides will escort you up to a mountainside, through forests, past World War II bunkers and then down into the lush Ka'a'awa valley, film site of Hollywood movies like Jurassic Park and Mighty Joe Young. You'll be amazed by the fantastic views of the Kualoa Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
The two-hour tour includes both sides of the ranch and will also take you to see the famous Mokoli'i or "Chinaman's Hat" Island (virtual tour), located right offshore; as well as an 800 year old native Hawaiian fishpond and lush gardens. This tour ends atop an overlook, facing lovely Kaneohe Bay. No matter which you choose, one hour or two, you are certain to have a great ime. Plus, Kualoa Ranch offers you a bevy of other ranch tours, so be sure to check them out as you can easily spend an entire day there.
ATV Rides are a popular way to spend time, so make your reservations early.
